Bookie

A quirky, bold, and whimsical brand identity for Bookie, a travel agency for DIY travelers based in Manila, Philippines.

Bookie’s logo typeface is a modified version of Filson Pro, a sans serif with a bright and friendly personality. The logo mark is a simple yet playful compass—a nod to travel, adventure, and exploration.

The compass’ eight points echo the eight rays of the sun on the Philippine flag, while the droplets reference the ocean. After all, the Philippines—with its 7,100+ islands—is surrounded by water.

Here is the full Bookie logo appearing on different backgrounds.

For Bookie’s color palette, I drew inspiration from red and blue, two colors found in the Philippine flag. I used shades of turquoise and coral, which call to mind the tropics. The result is a bold and playful visual language.

Keeping with the travel theme, I designed the business cards to resemble boarding passes.

I also created a variety of illustrations that were used on the website and other marketing materials.
